Eyes

Eyes, eyes that are tranquil and calm
Mary looked in these same eyes but saw much more
She saw entire worlds, galaxies every one with their own intricate design
She saw the brushstrokes of a sunset and the colorful pallet to paint a sea vast
She saw man in his sin and transgression
Then she saw a tree, a tree with nails pierced in it's bark
And to think the king of the universe who created all of these things would humble Himself to a small baby to save the world.
